Kamikakushi -- it means "mysterious disappearance" -- that is what the popular manga artist, Yu Watase's story of Fushigi Yuugi tells. The manga is about a young girl named Maika Yuki who is an ordinary (well *almost*) junior high-school student. She is suddenly whisked away into the world of a powerful book called "The Universe of the Four Gods;" there she becomes the priestess of the god Suzaku, and is charged with finding all seven of her protectors.
