How The Madness Began!

*Asahina prepares her winamp player for "Repeat 1" for "Bulmas Wunsch" and begins typing...."

Well, to begin, I used to live in Wuerzburg, Germany from July 27, 1997 to June 14, 2000. Three weeks before I we left the country to the United States, I happened to come across the "german dubb" of the original Dragonball series. At first, I thought, "Eh, might as well watch it, there's nothing else to do!" And so I did. I watched about the last half of an episode when I caught it and it kinda made me bored! Just as I was about to change the channel, the show ended and a clip of the ending (from the original intro of the japanese beginning) came on. It was of little Son Goku swirling around on his flying Nymbus. But that wasn't what caught my attention - it was the voice behind the song that was playing.

Ok, ya, I know - its in German - a language that I don't even understand. But that is just like listening to anime or jpop music. I don't understand much of it, yet it still sounds nice. ^_^ The clip of the song was only about 15 seconds worth, but I IMMEDIATELY fell in love with it. Next, I watched the next episode of the series the next day and the same clip played. (This time I recorded it!) Next began my frantic search.

I went "off base" (I lived on a US military base) to all the German stores that I could find in search of the cd. I went to a couple of German stores such as the general, book stores, malls, etc. and they all came to dead ends. But I didn't give up! (Ya, like sounded corny there ;p 0_0) Anyhow, I went to a electronic store and searched through all the cd racks - then I went to the "kinder" section (kinder means children or kids) and found THE LAST cd of the series. I have never felt so luck in my entire life!!!

Why I LOVE Her Voice!

Well, that is kinda hard to explain. I have always liked the voice of the gal who played the sister in "American Tale 2: Fieval Goes West" (which I need to get her name sometime, shame on me! --__--). But somehow the voice from the group that she belongs to called "What's Up?" was different.

How different? Well, her voice is sweet. But she also has a bit of a sexy voice BUT a teeny bit of cute in it. I have never liked any American pop stars who "show off" too much and always try to look sexy. And also all the songs they sing are NOTHING but damn love songs. But, on the other hand, I have always liked the "sweet and innocent" voices of japanese music. Such examples of jpop artists like Akemi Sato, who sang for Fushigi Yuugi, has a sweet voice that I also liked. But yet this German gal over ranked her. I LOVE HER SO MUCH that I like her 50 times more than my two most favorite singers - Kouji Wada (guy who sang Butterfly for Digimon Adventures) and Hiiro Takahashi (guy who sang the 3rd ending of Yu Yu Hakusho).

It has only been a few months and I have played the cd over and over and over and over (well you get my drift). I gotten so obsessive over her voice that I need to make another copy of the cd before I ruin it! *lowers head in shame*

My Most Favorite Song
Track #11 - Bulmas Wunsch - It's sweet and soothing. The translation to the song is "Bulmas' Wish" and it probably talks about her wanting her wish or something. I am still working on the translations, but hopefully I will get them done.

My Never-Ending Search!
Well, I have tried looking on the internet for more information about the gal, her group, and also more of the German soundtracks of the series but I came to dead ends. As of now, I had to sign up on German message boards for help. I just hope that someone out there will be able to give me some tips of where to find more of her singing voice and EVEN MAYBE find out what "her name" is!

As of right now, the lyrics is still under construction since I still have to go through and do some rough translations of all the songs. 0_o At the moment, I am just too lazy to them! Ack! Hopefully it should be updated in a month or so for the complete lyrics listings. ^_^
